About the locationThe festival takes place in a North German farmyard and its nearby surroundings. A barn provides the space for the main stage. There are additional stages for happenings and side acts and a film lounge in a former hayloft, as well as space for merchandise booths and artistic installations. There will be an additional phantastic stage construction in the inner courtyard - last year this was a historic combine harvester, and this year's idea is still a surprise. A multitude of gastronomic oases and a bar with international drinks are spread over the festival area. And, of course, there will be a classical campfire. Schiphorst lies in the heart of the most beautiful county Herzogtum Lauenburg between the Baltic Sea and The North Sea, not far from Hamburg and Lübeck. It can easily be reached by plane, car, train either via Hamburg or Lübeck. And to reach the festival site from either station or airport there will be a free shuttle service for visitors. The festival crew is multi-lingual and well able to look after visitors from abroad. They will help you plan your travel, find accomodation or solve any problem. Camping on the ground is free.
Über den VeranstaltungsortDas Festival findet in einem norddeutschen Bauernhof und auf dessen Gelände statt. Eine Scheune bietet den Platz für die Hauptbühne. Auf dem ehemaligen Heuboden gibt es weitere kleine Bühnen für Happenings und Side Acts, sowie eine Cinéma-Lounge, Installationen und Stände für Merchandise. Im Innenhof wird es eine weitere fantasievolle Bühnenkonstruktion geben - im letzten Jahr war es ein historischer Mähdrescher, und in diesem muss man sich einfach überraschen lassen. Über das Festivalgelände verstreut gibt es verschiedene gastronomische Oasen, eine Bar mit internationalen Getränken. Und natürlich fehlt nicht das klassische Lagerfeuer. Schiphorst liegt im Herzen des landschaftlich wunderschönen Herzogtums Lauenburg, zwischen der Nord- und der Ostsee und nicht weit entfernt vom "Alten Land" bei Hamburg und der Lüneburger Heide. Schiphorst ist per Auto, Bus, Zug und Flugzeug über Hamburg und Lübeck gut zu erreichen, und für die "letzten Meter" vom und zum Bahnhof, dem Flughafen oder der Busstation gibt es für Festivalbesucher einen kostenlosen Zubringer-Shuttle. Die Festival-Crew ist mehrsprachig und auf ausländische und von weit her anreisende Besucher eingestellt. Das Campen auf dem Festivalgelände ist kostenlos. Das Festivalbüro hilft bei der Vermittlung von Privat-, Pensions- und Hotelquartieren und steht auch mit Auskünften zur Reiseplanung zur Verfügung.
